We have a neighborhood blue heron that poses for me frequently. He hangs around the T-Pier and gets hand outs from the fishermen.
From about Jan-April, we have a flock of laughing gulls that stay close to Bayshore Dr. I have seen neighbors throwing food to them. The gulls really cause a stir and you can hear them a block away feasting on the food.
This is a Double-Crested Cormorant. They have found a home on top of the mask of a sailboat that is docked in the bay. I have seen at least 3 Cormorants on the boat at one time.
