Hanover had free public bus service. We caught the Orange bus to Sunset motel. First night in a motel off the trail. First Shower in a week- Felt Good- real good. I got a new backpack while in town.
We left Hanover, New Hampshire and started hiking up the Mt. It was up and down today not a lot of long ups. I hiked with a new pack -Granite Gear- today. It is carrying the weight better than my old pack. Water was scarce today. A lot of the streams listed in the guide book were dry. My trail bird sang to me today. He has been on the trail since Vermont. Such a pleasure to hear each morning and afternoon.
We are camping by a babbling brook tonight (Mink Creek). We crossed the brook and camped on the island with the brook surrounding us. Plenty of Water. Love it.
